Introducing AIR-sense-IQ: a CO2 Monitor Powered by Epishine’s Organic Indoor Solar Cells
Reef IoT is excited to announce the official launch of AIR-sense-IQ, a cutting-edge photovoltaic carbon dioxide (CO2) monitor powered by Epishine’s printed solar cells. Developed as part of the ATiP project at Swansea University, AIR-sense-IQ offers an advanced solution for monitoring CO2 levels in indoor environments - without the need for external power sources or battery replacements.
By capturing energy from indoor lighting, AIR-sense-IQ is an efficient solution for maintaining optimal air quality in workspaces without needing maintenance. Reef IoT is currently in the process of spinning out from Swansea University.
AIR-sense-IQ features innovative solar technology that converts indoor light into energy, enabling continuous monitoring without the need for changing batteries or external power. AIR-sense-IQ provides live air quality readings via an advanced CO2 sensor. The device alerts users when CO2 levels become elevated, ensuring optimal air quality and increased comfort and well-being for the users of the space. When mounted on a wall, it maximizes its exposure to indoor lighting ensuring that it remains powered and operational in all standard office settings.

AIR-sense-IQ will be available for purchase in mid 2025.
