Testing, Adjusting and Trying Again

Epishine wasn't born in an office.
In the summer of 2016, a small group gathered at HUS, "Hus Utan Sladd", a house without cords, in Venngarn. It was there that the company officially took the name Epishine. But for a long time afterwards, calling it a company was generous.

Almost everyone involved still had a day job. The real work happened in the evenings and on weekends: testing, adjusting and trying again. Producing the first modules required a lot of effort, since they were essentially hand-made.

There was no factory, just a small team trying to figure out where the technology could make the biggest difference. Looking back, it's easy to make those early days sound romantic. In reality, progress was slow and mostly invisible to anyone outside the room. It was the kind of work that rarely makes it into a pitch deck.

And this one did lead somewhere. But not without changing direction first.
Early the following year, five of the people in that room would meet again, this time in Hallsberg. There, they made a decision that would reshape Epishine
